Televisions We Assess for Pickup
Flat-Screen TVs
LED, LCD, and plasma sets, including large screens. Size, weight, condition, and the carrying route affect handling and price.
CRT and Bulky Sets
Older tube televisions and other heavy sets need weight and access assessment, including stairs, narrow doors, and the loading route.
Broken or Multiple TVs
Non-working televisions and multiple sets can be assessed. Damaged screens, loose glass, quantities, and receiving requirements affect acceptance and handling.
Access and Wall-Mounted Televisions
The carrying route is reviewed for doors, stairs, elevators, item weight, and loading space. Building elevator reservations and permission must be coordinated when required. Removal from inside the property is assessed for suitable access.
Wall-mounted televisions, brackets, built-in units, and connected equipment require a specifically agreed scope. Routine pickup does not automatically include unmounting, electrical work, in-wall cable removal, or wall repairs. Retained cables, devices, and accessories are identified before loading.
For smart televisions, personal accounts and stored information should be removed by the owner before handoff. Hauling does not include a data-erasure certification.
TV Recycling and Receiving Options
Illinois prohibits televisions from being mixed with municipal waste for landfill disposal. A television pickup needs a suitable electronics receiving route; acceptance and any applicable handling or recycling charges are assessed before booking.
For a drop-off alternative, the Illinois EPA lists electronics collection options. Contact the collector before travel to confirm the TV type, current acceptance, hours, and any fees. Junk Robbers hauling is a separately priced service.
Pricing and Completion
Price reflects the television type, size, quantity, condition, stairs, carrying route, assessed handling, and receiving charges. The removal scope and price are agreed before work begins.
The crew tidies the cleared work area after the agreed pickup. Payment is due after the agreed work is complete and before the crew leaves. Any large-job deposit is discussed before booking.
Appointment availability is confirmed before booking. Same-day pickup is not guaranteed. Additional furniture or electronics can be assessed as part of a larger agreed load.

Can you remove a heavy CRT television?
CRT sets can be assessed for weight, dimensions, condition, route, handling, and receiving acceptance before the job is booked.
Does pickup include taking a TV off the wall?
Unmounting must be specifically assessed and included in the agreed scope. Wall repair, electrical work, and in-wall cable removal are separate work.
Can I put a TV in ordinary trash?
