Items and jobs we haul
Pick the category closest to your job for details, prep tips and pricing. Mixed loads are fine. Most pickups include several categories.
Furniture
Couches, sectionals, sleeper sofas, recliners, dressers, bed frames, bunk beds, tables, desks and patio sets. We disassemble when needed and carry from any floor.
Mattresses & box springs
Any size, including bed-bug mattresses wrapped and sealed before they leave your home.
Appliances
Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, water heaters and window AC units. Refrigerant appliances go to facilities that handle them properly.
Electronics & TVs
TVs, computers, monitors, printers and cables. Illinois bans many electronics from landfills, so we take them to electronics recyclers.
Exercise equipment
Treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, weight benches and home gyms, taken apart on site if they won't fit through the door.
Hot tubs, decks & sheds
We cut up and haul hot tubs and jacuzzis, tear out wood decks, and take down small sheds and playsets.
Carpet, flooring & renovation debris
Carpet, padding, rugs, laminate, tile, drywall, cabinets, wood and other construction or demolition debris.
Yard waste & outdoor items
Branches, brush, shrubs, bagged leaves, fencing, grills and patio furniture.
Trash, boxes & general junk
Bagged household trash, cardboard, pallets, toys, clothing and the rest of the miscellaneous clutter.
Full cleanouts
Whole rooms or whole properties: garages, basements, attics, homes, hoarding situations, evictions and foreclosures.
Business & property jobs
Offices, retail spaces, warehouses and rental turnovers for property managers.
How pricing works
You pay for the space your items take up in the truck. The minimum is $129, and typical loads are $149, $245, $389, $519 and $659 as the load grows. Lifting, loading and disposal are included. Heavy materials like concrete, brick or dirt are quoted separately. Full pricing guide →
What we can't take, and where it goes instead
For safety and legal reasons, we don't haul hazardous materials:

Donate, recycle or use City services
If your items are in good shape, or you only have a few things, these resources may help before you book a pickup. City garbage customers can set large items next to their cart on regular collection day. The City doesn't schedule special bulk pickups, and buildings with five or more units use private haulers.

What does Junk Robbers take?
Almost anything non-hazardous that two people can safely lift: furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, exercise equipment, hot tubs, carpet, renovation debris, yard waste, trash, and the contents of whole garages, basements and homes.
What items can't you take?
We can't haul hazardous materials: paint and solvents, chemicals, pesticides, fuel, motor oil, propane tanks, asbestos, medical waste, ammunition and explosives. In Chicago, residents can take most household chemicals to the City's Household Chemicals & Computer Recycling Facility.
How much does junk removal cost in Chicago?
Pricing is based on how much space your items take up in the truck. Our minimum is $129. Typical load pricing is $149, $245, $389, $519 and $659 as the load grows, and heavy materials such as concrete or dirt are quoted separately. You get the price before we start.
Do you take mattresses with bed bugs?
Yes. We wrap and seal infested mattresses, box springs and furniture before carrying them out, so they don't spread through hallways or stairwells.
Will the City of Chicago pick up my furniture?
Homes with City garbage service can set large items out next to their cart on their regular collection day. The City doesn't schedule special bulk pickups, and buildings with five or more units use private haulers. If you need items carried out of the home or gone on a specific day, book a junk removal crew.
Do you donate or recycle what you haul?
Usable items are donated when possible, and metal, electronics, cardboard and appliances are recycled. Only what's left goes to a transfer station.
Do I need to move the junk to the curb?
No. Our crew does all the lifting and loading from wherever the items are: basement, upper floor, garage, backyard or curb.
