Freestanding units are reviewed for dimensions, weight, condition, and the route to loading. Built-in models, oversized units, and specialized cooling equipment need separate assessment.

Freestanding and built-in appliances require assessment of attachments, connections, and access. Gas, electrical, plumbing, and other utility disconnection are arranged separately before hauling.
Small and Commercial Appliances
Microwaves, vacuums, and other small appliances can be assessed with an agreed load. Commercial equipment, unusual materials, and heavy or fixed units require item-specific acceptance review.
Connections and Carrying Access
Appliances must be ready for the agreed removal. Utility disconnection, gas-line work, hardwired electrical work, and plumbing changes are outside routine hauling. Arrange appropriate disconnection separately before the appointment; attached cabinets, doors, or fixtures are reviewed before any dismantling is included.
Chicago pickups may involve basement laundry rooms, walk-up stairs, narrow doors, apartment elevators, shared hallways, and rear loading alleys. Item measurements, stair turns, floor conditions, loading permission, and carrying distance are assessed. Some routes or appliances need a different work plan.
Empty appliance contents and identify anything that stays. Personal data on connected appliances remains the owner's responsibility. The requesting party must have authority to remove the agreed items, including appliances owned by a landlord or business.

Carry, Load, and Haul
The crew handles the agreed removal and clears loose debris created by the work from accessible areas. Installation of replacement appliances, repairs, and deep cleaning are separate.
Receiving Options, Pricing, and Payment
Reuse or recycling depends on appliance condition, materials, and receiving acceptance. Cooling equipment and other specialized units may require a particular receiving route. Donation of every appliance is not guaranteed.
