A cleanout can cover selected bulky items, accumulated storage, or agreed contents across several basement rooms. Set aside belongings you want to keep and identify the areas included. The crew removes the agreed load; household organization, repairs, renovation, and deep cleaning are separate work.

Already detached carpet, flooring remnants, scrap materials, or heavy equipment need assessment of material, quantity, weight, and the exit route. Demolition and removal of attached fixtures are separately scoped.

Basement Access Affects the Work
Chicago basements may have low ceilings, narrow interior stairs, sharp turns, small doors, or exterior steps to a rear alley. Item dimensions, stair condition, door clearance, carrying distance, and loading permission determine the removal plan. Some oversized or unusually heavy items need different equipment or cannot use the available route.
The requesting party must have authority to remove the contents. For shared buildings, agree access with the owner or manager and keep common routes available. Items connected to plumbing, gas, or electricity must have appropriate disconnection arranged before hauling.
Flooding, Mold, or Unsafe Conditions
Tell us about standing water, sewage, suspected hazardous materials, unstable stairs, or contamination before arranging removal. Routine contents hauling does not include water extraction, mold treatment, biohazard remediation, or structural repairs. Specialist work may be required before the crew can enter.

The crew handles the agreed removal and clears loose debris created by its work from accessible areas. A cleanout does not certify the space as repaired, sanitized, or ready for occupancy.
Pricing, Receiving Options, and Payment

Reuse and recycling depend on item condition, materials, and receiving acceptance. Not every item can be donated or recycled.
Payment is due after the agreed work is complete and before the crew leaves. Any deposit for a larger job is discussed before booking.
